This couple. This location. When Colette reached out to me , I knew our artistic visions were going to align beautifully. She mentioned how much her & Nick love record collecting & wanted something authentic to their love & different than traditional beach sessions– immediately one of my favorite places came to mind.
I had been feeling stagnant creatively & had been hoping for a session to help pull me out of this creative block (photographers, you know exactly what I’m talking about). This session was exactly that.

EMBRACING SOMEWHERE NEW
Tucked away in the Cargo District in Wilmington, The Fuzzy Needle is all things cozy, vintage, inspiring, eclectic, and bursting with personality. I loved being challenged by the lighting, textures, patterns, colors, and a whole new space to play around in.
Creatively directing these two in this space came so naturally because it was authentic to them to begin with. Choose spaces that feel like home to you & everything else with flow easily. Truthfully, I was so excited that they wanted to go somewhere that wasn’t the beach. As much as I was able to bring breath to their vision; they also helped me creatively enjoy myself more than I thought I could somewhere new and far from my comfort zone. Which is always where the magic happens.
